Do I need a ‘problem’ in order to benefit from Group Therapy? Nope...and here’s why...

Group Therapy can result in reduced Social Anxiety, increased Confidence and a higher likelihood of Rewarding Relationships. However this does not mean you need to feel that you have a ‘problem’, as such, in order to be attracted to Group Therapy.

You may wish to join Group Therapy because you want to be part of a space that values radical empathy alongside the promotion of honesty and growth.

You might be pretty happy with how you are and how your life is going. Alongside this you might relish personal development, authentic connection, productive feedback and challenge.

You might simply want authentic, regular connection with other people...after all, as humans we are wired for connection and we need this in order to thrive.

Group Therapy can be a place where we can regularly connect and thrive with others who wish for similar.

Having said this, Group Therapy can be of help if you are experiencing loss, feeling lonely, experiencing low mood/ depression, feeling a loss of purpose/ meaning, experiencing anxiety. However you do not need to be experiencing this in order to get something positive out of being a part of the Group Therapy process.
